Is an XF SC (2009) a "good" used car??
#21
Test drove the 09 XF SC. I was very impressed. Drove great. The steering was much lighter then any of my BMWs. Car is super clean - no issues with the dash leather. Interior is a 9.5/10. Exterior 9/10 (two little touched up scratches)
They have a few dollars in reconditioning the car - brakes, windshield, a bumper repainted. I think maybe plugs too.
Has 60,000 miles.
He said firm at $22,995. Seems reasonable to me. I am going to get a PPI on Monday.
Has the BW sound system. Blind spot monitor. Auto unlock when you approach, cooled seats. A lot I think is standard.
What options were available on the '09?

As far as price goes, mine was $16k, but I bought it with 100k miles and talked him down from $18k in Utah. Dunno how that would translate if the miles were as low as yours. Mine was also not in what I would call 9/10 shape, although completely solid mechanically.
Can't wait to see a pic!

Well, this one has the heated steering wheel! Not sure about the adaptive cruise (not sure I would trust it regardless...)
Hard to know what mileage is worth. These was one out here that had ~112,000 miles and I think the ask was $14k or so. I want lower mileage, so it was out of the running.

+1 to loving it.
I had a chance (was having the 'theatre lighting' strip on front nearside door replaced...was burned out...) to drive a '15 AWD XF as a loaner for an overnight...what a trip. I could get into real trouble with it.
I don't think you'll be disappointed, sir. Take care of the niggles (hey, replacing a light under warranty is not a big deal, certainly taking a loaner overnight for such a tiny repair...but the service writer didn't even blink) and she'll bring a smile to your face every time the start button pulses (at 70 BPM...same as a live jaguar...trivial note) and the tranny button rises...the vents open...yeah, chintzy, but what the heck. Driving the car should be an event...and they certainly did the little things that make you realize 'this isn't a Chevy Malibu' when you fire her up and stuff your right shoe into the loud pedal.

Mine are silver also. I think mine was fully loaded as I have the heated steering wheel and the adaptive cruise control, which really does work well. Car is a 2009 SC and so far so good. I bought it with 55k miles almost a year ago and paid $26k OTD, but one local owner with a very complete service history from the local dealer here in OR. I think you are getting a great deal.

She's Yours!
Congrats and welcome to the collective.
Now drive the heck out of it, take in the scent of British leather interior.
Wash it, wax it, baby it, but open the taps from time to time to give her room to breathe.
Seriously, may you enjoy many many miles of happy motoring. You've now joined a pretty special marque...
