Has anyone experienced a broken sun visor that will not go all the way back up? A snap sound is heard when trying to push up. Sounds like a broken fastenter perhaps. Since a new visor is almost 400 dollars, I was wondering if there is a fix without replacing the full visor. 2010 XF Supercharged. Thank you.

It's a simple job to remove the sun visor from the car and then see if you can find the problem. I replaced the driver's side sun visor on my old 2010 XFS with a new one as the mirror cover had been snapped off of the original.
First, gently lever off the plastic cover over the mount.
Next, remove the three Phillips head mounting screws.
Next, pull the headlining down a little on the door side (I think you need to pull the door lining rubber strip off a little first) to access the electrical plug (for the mirror lights) and disconnect the plug. The plug is only some 100 mm in from the end of the visor mount and I vaguely recall that the wiring cable was stuck to the roof so you need to peel it off.
You can now take the mirror to your work bench and test it.
Alternatively you might find that one of the mounting screws has come loose or has broken, or the plastic around the mounting holes has cracked, causing the "snap".
