Hello,
May I get some suggestions on how to repair a "tear" in the rubber casket around the sunroof on a 2009 XF Supercharged?
No leaks yet, but want to prevent any leaks. Local body shops and mechanic don't want to bother with a repair to the rubber casket around the sunroof.
Do you have any ideas for a practical repair?

Replace it, its not hard... toughest part is the rear you need to squeeze your hand into the crack to pull it over the edge of the roof

 

Thanks; I ordered the seal for the 2009 XF Supercharged Sunroof from a Jaguar dealer. (I ordered two in case I tear one). I thought it might be fairly simple; yet the garages told me they don't want to miss with it....too much time and too difficult they told me.

 

If you can't get your fingers in the rear under the glass you may need to pull the headliner down. I had to get under there to tighten the bolts, but not a major issue to yank it down in the back of the sunroof
