xf upgrade expectations plus wheel question
Greetings everyone, i own the non sc 2009 xf and love it to death but i want to know what to expect from a sound and power point of view from adding a performance exhaust and cold air intake to my car. Not sure what brand exhaust but i beleive its custom plus my mecahnic builds drag cars so i told him something that will sound a little louder at idle and whatever will give me a little juice so im sure he will make the right decision. Im thinking around twenty hp gained from the cold air and full exhaust..accurate? Also what other performance upgrades are available.. headers? air intake manifold? I have two questions on wheels. I need to know if these wheels will fit..3 PIECE 22" FORGIATO CONCAVO BRUSHED/BLACK WITH YELLOW LIP WITH TIRES..THEY ARE 5X112 BOLT PATTERN .. THEY ARE 22X9 FRONT AND 22X10.5 REAR...TIRES ARE 235/30 22" IN THE FRONT WITH 70% LIFE LEFT AND 285/30 .. I just need the wheels not concerned about tires but if they fit awesome! My car is vapor grey and i want the wheels repainted from brushed to vapor grey to match and the guy selling the wheels says they have a yellow lip but it looks kind of like those yellow tire strips but im not sure.. either way could a wheel shop remove the yellow and repaint it black lip and vapor grey face? That is if these wheels will even fit. Also i read in another thread about suspension in my car.. so when i shift into s versus drive the suspension changes as well or did i read that wrong? and the illuminated door sills.. are they just the front two or can u buy lights for the rear door sills? Thanks in advance for any response and sorry for all the newbie questions as this is my first jaguar!

Not scams, just the factory boys can't afford to leave much untapped power on the factory floor these days.
Even twenty horsepower extra will likely only be at the very top end, hardly ever useable.
Supercharged engines are another matter entirely. The factory tunes these for reliability and possible misfuelling with inadequate octane. Aftermarket and even the factory boys have no trouble "finding" extra useable power and torque by over boosting.
If you want more power from your XF just trade it in for a supercharged one. Those can be tuned until your underwear needs replacing.

The price difference includes a lot of extras to deal with the additional power. Bigger brakes, wheels, tighter suspension with electronic adjustment, better seats and so on.
The price difference drops as the cars age.
My point is only that Jaguar beat us all to it. If you want to chop a second or more off the 0-60 time trade up to a supercharged XFR or SCV8 it's cheaper in the long run!
