Here s my 2 cents. I have both a 09 white S/C and a black 10 XFR. I say White is for those who want the flashy look and black for that classy look. White stayed clean longer and the black is also eay to keep clean if you keep quick dealer for BLACK ONLY cars in the trunk.
I wanted a Salsa Red XFR but could not find in my area so I took the classy Ultimate Black.

In our area of the Northeast, black is the stealthier color. When I lived in the south, white was a color that many chose for obvious reasons. I am partiall to Jag's greys, if I was not getting black, but you didn't mention that. If you get white, I would get a black grille (black grille looks good with black too).

tough question as they are completely different looks... I choose Ult Black - it looks awesome in the light.
White w/ the Barley/Truffle interior looks awesome!
in the end you can't go wrong - just get one and have a blast. EVERY time I get in this car I can't stop driving it! It's awesome

Jaguar always looks good in white. There is a brand new and much better colour than black called Caviar which is a dark burgundy brown dual effect metallic. That looks sensational with London tan interior. I assume you are ordering a new car.
Kyanite Blue is a spectacular colour on the XFR.

Second the caviar suggestion, it is my personal favorite color on the 2012. You never see anything like it; looks brown in some light, burgundy in some, purple in others:

Couldn't agree more. Caviar was my first choice but it looks like it would be just as hard to keep clean as the black. I decided on the stratus grey and couldn't be happier. Before I cleaned it this morning it still looked pretty good even though it was very dusty(even got a couple of compliments on how clean it looked yesterday). The black would have looked terrible(had a black infiniti G35). But if you don't like all the work to keep your car clean, I do suggest the white. Hadn't cleaned the fiancées white BMW in two weeks and it still looked pretty good.

White will stay cooler in summer when left in a car park.
There are other colours than black or white, you know. My X350 is Jaguar Racing Green, a fairly dark metallic green, and I love it ! Ivory/charcoal interior with brid's eye maple wood. OK, XFs don't seem to have it, more's the pity ! We don't have summers here in the UK anymore! Now into 4th month of continuous, monsoon-like rain !!
