Default XFR Product Development...

Hi all,

My name is Jason Griffith and I'm one of the three owners at Nameless Performance, Inc. in La Center, Washington. We have a variety of products available for the XKR and XJR and we are looking to branch out to the XF and XFR.

Just to give you all an idea of what our manufacturing capabilities are, here are some details on the projects we have been working on lately:

Full mandrel bent T304 stainless steel exhaust systems and components - from high flow catalyst downpipes to schedule 40 fabricated exhaust manifolds and catback exhausts, we can build it. We specialize in 3D profiled CNC milled flanges promoting perfect transition of gases - whether it's out of a rectangular cylinder head port and into the circular exhaust manifold runners or out of an internal wastegate and into a divorced downpipe.

Air to air and liquid to air intercooling systems as well as a wide variety of intercooler control and secondary heat soak management systems for track days, autocross and drag racing. We have our own line of custom intercooler cores which feature a variety of optimized design details such as perforated and offset fins, proper aspect ratio between charge air and charge cooling rows based on overall system design requirements.

High Performance two and three row aluminum radiators with optimal balance of increased frontal area and core cross sectional design. Our radiators feature billet aluminum and mandrel bent aluminum fittings and inlet/outlets, optional multi-pass designs, fabricated CNC laser cut and CNC formed end tanks, TIG welded with 5356 rod for perfect color should you chose to have us anodize your system.

A wide variety of chassis bracing and structural chassis improvements for optimal handling and translation of engine torque to tractive effort. This is an area we love to work on. Using a 4 channel load cell datalogging system, we can dynamically graph chassis torsional forces in real time to determine which locations make a difference and which don't. We're also working on a line of diy or weld-shop installed boxed suspension arm and unibody gusset kits for a number of different vehicles.

DOT Certified Stainless Braided over Teflon Brake Lines. Perfect factory style fit, not just 'built to DOT specifications' or 'made to DOT guidelines' like a lot of the ebay cheapo competition, these are DOT Certified and carry the DOT Whip Test cert numbers right on every line we ship. We can build anything in quantities as low as a single set. And of course, this means we have the ability to use the same technology for turbo oil lines, custom oil cooler and dry sump hose kits, cooling system lines and a wide variety of other hydraulic and fluid transfer system components.

Custom sheet metal work - skidplates and bellypans, radiator close out panels, heat shields, custom ducting, structural shear panels and doublers, etc.

Intake manifold and induction tract design and manufacturing - we've got a number of induction projects we are working on right now - from swapping GSXR throttles onto a '72 BMW 2002 with standalone fuel injection to some higher end R&D projects involving top mount injection and 3d profiled barrel throttle assemblies. We're also working on a new Supra intake manifold flange design for use with fabricated turbo manifolds.

Engine management and electronic devices - we are currently developing a modular plug and play distributor replacement with coil on plug programmable ignition as well as a number of other sensory and control systems for standalone engine management applications and induction control systems (think variable vane turbo controllers, intercooler ancillary control systems, etc).

The best part is, we're just like you. We're made up of a handful of avid enthusiasts from a variety of employment and automotive backgrounds - almost all of us own overpowered visceral old beaters and their more finicky but refined CANBus/OBDII grandchildren. Whether it's the development of a period-correct looking front chassis brace for a '72 BMW 2002 or designing an intake and MAF housing to optimize velocity and power without spiking long term fuel trims, we've probably done it before, and if we haven't, you can be guaranteed we're having fun breaking new ground and thinking outside the box to come up with ways to validate our designs - whether it's the typical baseline/modded dyno pulls or some other method of tangibly measuring our results.

Our website is here: http://www.namelessperformance.com We have a blog there and the products and a few other articles.

We're also on Facebook here: FB - Nameless Performance, Inc. Everything we do on a day to day basis, updates, new product development, welding and tool tips, video of our entertaining hijinx (say, adding two shop vacs to a bonfire to make a blast furnace hot enough to combust the magnesium out of an alloy automatic transmission case), etc.

So that's who we are and what we like to do. We're nice folks and we love to work with our customers to build systems that will suit their needs. We all look forward to participating here on the forum and being able to work with you all on making your ideas turn into reality.

We are in the Portland, Oregon area, so the first order of business is for us to find some enthusiasts in this area who are interested in providing a car for us to take measurements off of and develop parts on. We can provide local and national references from people who have entrusted us with their vehicles from as far away as the east coast.

We are also equipped with a ROMER Absolute 6 Axis digitizing arm, which is a portable solution allowing us to translate physical data points from your car into our CAD system. Which means we can go on location, depending on the project, and gather the information we need in any covered, clean parking area.

Feel free to email me at jason.g@namelessperformance.com or call me on my cell at 360-607-9402 if you're in our area and would like to have us develop parts using your Jaguar XF, XFR or any other late model Jaguar for that matter.

We are not a full service shop. The only times that we do any kind of maintenance or repair would be as a courtesy to customers who are letting us use their car for prototyping.

That being said, we also do work in designing solutions for no longer available stock parts. So while we make performance exhausts for many older cars, we also make factory fit, factory sound level stainless exhausts as well. As another example, we make CNC machined sunroof rails for the VW Scirocco as the factory cast parts are NLA and break regularly.

I don't sell OEM parts, I'm a performance parts manufacturer. As for trusting me, we're a reputable name and have a good reputation with other people on this forum for providing quality hand fabricated products.
