XFR-S - No Longer a Pipe Dream
I'm surprised no one has posted anything about the upcoming XFR-S.

Personally, not a fan of the STI-esque spoiler, but the rest of the car looks pretty good.
I was planning on getting a 2012 XFR in 2014/2015, but this car will likely change those plans, especially if available in French Racing Blue!

LOL at the article you posted a link to,
"Word has it Jaguar has slipped the 550 horsepower supercharged V8 from the XKR-S behind the headlights of the four-door XFR-S." Don't tell them that Jaguar only makes one 5.0 V8 and Eaton only has 1 part number for the Supercharger they sell Jaguar (confirmed at SEMA last week)

CTS-v is faster to 60 by what 2 tenths of a second and thats with the XF running on crappy Dunlap tires. The car to beat is the new 2013 M5 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and about the same size as my XF. I love it, hope the XFR-s is faster but it will need All wheel drive to be.

R1900. At SEMA last week I walked up to the Eaton booth and asked one of the guys. If I told you I have a car with a R1900 which car do I drive. They eventually guessed a Supercharged Jag. Eaton only has 1 part number for Jaguar all the supercharged cars are running the same air pump.

It's all done with electronics these days. Supercharged engines use similar knock sensor software feedback systems controlling the level of overboost permitted. The closer you get to allowable tolerances the more power you can extract. Be aware that power is much easier to get at than torque. The limit on torque is still bmep before detonation. Power is limited by feasible maximum rpm.

New video of the XFR-S on a mountain road ripping it up. Just incredible.

The good thing is that's an option. The standard one is what's on the speed pack. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...jMOl2bFau41jM:
