2000 xj8 upper shock mounts
Ok. I have been looking around for the upper shock mounts for the front suspension on the wifes 2000 xj8 (Lola) and have found some on parts geek for $325.10....wow. Does anyone know of another place to purchase or has anyone tried the kits that are the bushings only?
Any tips or comments/complaints on the kits?
Thanks much.

I also bought the $68 "Ebay" bushings a few weeks back. But ever since I read the need for a "press" I have been pushing this job off. I don't have any press that would do the trick so thinking of possibly taking to a garage to get it done. Will any garage understand what needs to be done if I brought the parts or do I need to go to a Jag specialist?

Hi
Do a internet search for Automotive Parts and Machine Shop with your home town or where you are employed.
I did the search using Cary NC and found several that probably within 10 miles of Cary (Gardener, Raleigh).
Any of these places should have a press in their machine shop and be able to help you. Call them and ask them if they can do it (also ask for an estimate).
When I was a teenage hot rodder, almost all of the auto parts stores here in CT had attached machine shops that milled heads and a bunch of auto machining functions as part of business location.
