Now that sexy, the CF is only for black interiors, I wouldn't dare to put that in my (Oatmeal) interior.

The rims, hmmmm, not really doing it for me. Now find some Starburst in 19 or 20's or something similar in design, would set it OFF!!

I like the wheel choice, your car is shaping up to be very tastefully modified!

those wheels work really well with that car, again maybe the lower mesh, but lets see what you have in mind, so far you have good taste

The CF is a great touch.Very nice. IMO a stainless knob would look great...

XJR Prototype, Thank you for your thread! Really great reading!

Are you considering Bolt on MODS for increased performance?

I have a 2.5lb Blower pulley ,magnaflow CATS attached to a Borla exhaust. It was not expensive when considering the drastic performance gains.
Powerhouse UK, puts out a beautiful stainless steel pulley, stainless stays cooler than the aluminium pulleys, ironic even with the shipping, better materials and the exchange rate it is chaeper as well.

If you go with the smaller pulley everyone says the stock belt works fine, but I use the Gates, plus the belt is green!lol

Have you driven on those wheels? I think I recall reading that the rear fender lip needs to be trimmed for that size wheel.

@RLOVER

Please don't ever use that turtle wax crap or suggest people to use it hahaha, when it gets done I'm talking professional level correction that Ill do myself, and ill be taking before & after pictures... you'll see.

Eventually ill be doing go fast mods, just need to make her look good first, just my way of doing things... she is pretty quick to begin with after refreshing the intercoolers/gaskets. Thanks for the suggestion on the green belt though

@SteveM

I don't have any issues? Maybe that's cars that are lowered 20-35mm? Haven't really run into anything to make them touch yet... but at a steep driveway angle that pushes the tire into the wheel well I could see it touching... but it's an easy fix on these cars.

Well I would imagine the wheel does move up into the wheel well under normal suspension travel, such as flying over a crest and compressing the suspension.

I'm not saying you have an issue, just wondering if there is any rubbing on the inside/outside of the tire as I will be looking to fit the widest tire/wheel combo on the rear myself. Just researching what widths and offsets work, fender lip trimming if necessary.

These are 25mm offset on the rears, correct?

Oh I'm with you... I want to do the same thing with these... to fit a wider tire than a stock 285 it will need roll (the lip is big under there, could even trim it down) but after that I'm sure even a 305 series tire would clear. Plenty of room on the inside and you could even make more room by trimming down that inner lip... so it's all very possible.

I'm actually happy with the stock spring look with these wheels, but I would still love to close the existing gap so the tire is right at the fender/quarter panel... I just don't think there is anything that will make the front and rear sit that way?

BTW, the front wheels can use a spacer to match the look of the rears... i'd say about 15-20mm or so would be good looking.

I also did not check what the offset of these are... sorry about that... probably on here somewhere.

I don't know who's car this is but I'm interested in what it's lowered with... I would want mine to look just like it.

aaaaaah I see, .

But from personal experience,.It is a GREAT product for those that do not have $6grand to drop on a paint job(me). it fills swirls and scratches. After the application top it with the good stuff. But it really works great on our 14yox308 and wifes 16yo305 looks new afterwards. We drive them during the nice days and my wife hardly drives her 305, I told her I got it for her, but well I got it for me! LOL I always wanted a 12cyl car. I like fixing mechanicals first then when EVERYTHING is done mechanically then paint? Probably about 14months away to ordering all new chrome, door gaskets, trunk gaskets, rear tail lights and headlights...Thankfully my interior is still showroom, even my cupholder works! It has the dark maple wood and not the yellowish wood you had coupled with the black leather. I wish they had made the headliner black as well ///

I agree with Rlover, it works. Used it on my black 740.00 hid the swirls and scratches great, until it rains or you wash the car.

Its a great cover up, until paint/detailing time.

^^
Looks like a European XJR with that black window surounding ,Nice!

I like that sinister look ,take of the plastic door protection moldings and personally i think it would look even nicer .
Now it really needs big brakes btw ,i know an almost new complete XJR 100 Brembo set but the seller asks to much money for it ,and it would be a heavy Package when shipped oversea.
Hope you get lucky with a set from a breaker or something.
Oh and are the US springs higher than European XJR,s ? mine looks lower on 20,s.

Yea the big brake kit will be going on.. they need to fill up those wheels to complete the look. (Like a 100 ) Sadly, nothing is wrong with the brakes on it now, I don't even have an excuse for the wife haha... I think I have a member on here with a full set I'm going to eventually pick up. Trying to get all the other little cheaper stuff fixed first, and new tires on the Detroit's.

Also.. still have a wheel bearing issue... the knuckle that was supposed to have a new bearing didn't. So I had to take a loss on that part... kinda shitty. If that's the route you take to fix it make sure you know the seller. I'm now back at square one, and needing a tool. The seller with the shocks decided to keep them, that's still a current issue as well... but I'm glad he held me up as I found a good deal on a set.

Not sure on the springs.. might be how it parked in my driveway. Need to know what the car in my post above is dropped with

If you want to hide swirls with a wax, and have it last even if it rains (and through washes), use Poorboy's Black Hole glaze. You'll need to top it off with a sealant though, but it's well worth it. It'll last for months.

My Jag's have made me a "Poorboy's" LOL

You are right if you do not place the good stuff over it it will wash off in the rain!.

Xjrprototype,

The black over the chrome IMO looks sharp..Did you put the blackplasti on the chrome head lights as well? The old Eurotoyz XJR (I should have bought it) was blacked out as well. I think Mike @ Eurotoyz would be a great resource for you on the suspension quesitons. Are you going to put on Limotint? Are you going to do any performance MOD's? Car looks great!
