urgent! please power steering fluid overflow
I have posted a thread about the whining noise coming for the engine bay.
today i discovered all my power steering fluid was all gone and spilled out from the cap valve?and the hot engine burnt out the fluid in smoke
i refilled the fluid and it was keep leaking from the cap valve later,
i opened the reservoir and i saw the fluid had so much bubbles turning like foam?
note, i live in NY and has been very cold recently
please please help for any advise

I recently replaced the pump in my XJ8. I had one heck of a time trying to get all the air out, in fact, it was a huge pain.
I got the best results by having both front wheels off the ground, and manually turning it lock to lock, countless times.
The air just doesn't like to come out. You can see the bubbles come up into the reservoir, but a lot of them get sucked back in when it's running.
All I can suggest is patience, and lots of fluid to hand. Mine overflowed badly a few times.

update status,I ended replacing the steering pump , paid 2 hours of labor at the shop plus the price of the part
occh, too much issue of X308, perhaps due to the age of the vehicle. X308/Jaguar at that era still had too much issues on their car quality, lets agree with that . thou I love this car but too much headache
I still have a list of things to be fixed

You are driving a 14 year old luxury performance sedan, which was expensive to buy when new and expensive to service then and now when major things go wrong. That is why we see a lot of these cars passed on to the third or fourth owner with major problems that have to be fixed. The previous owners either did not do proper maintenance, which any car needs, or sold them when they were told what the repairs would cost.
A good 308 XJR is about as bullet proof a 370-400 HP sedan as you are going to get, properly maintained, of course.
