I am very interested in the reprogramming, I have a few spares I can send you to work with. You can ship Andre one of the ones I have if you like. The issue I have is that the diff ratio has been changed on my car. Will you please look into the diff ratio issue? This with the blue solenoids would make a manual gearbox a waste of money.

Called Kurt he says that the diff is no prob at all he can reprogram it anyway you need to work with whatever diff you installed. Blue solenoids????? Hummmmmm guess I need to find out what this is all about

Looks like blue solenoids are the way to go just ordered a set and will be doing them with the fluid change this coming week. TCM is looking very promising as Kurt just said he and his contact at MB are working it out im soooo excited for some trans tuning. Now I just need to get like a 3.55 in the rear or 3.73 or something similar I think that would be the most aggressive you would want to go for a driver. But looking into it with some trans tuning and more aggressive rear gearing you could easily knock off over a second off your 0-60 and about 2 off your 1/4 with no other changes.

when you get the process streamlined and the code cracked, I know some xk8/r guys that would love the opportunity to get their ECM and TCMs tuned. Definitely let us know over in that subforum when you've got details.

Will this be for the 5HP24 only, or can the 6HP26 owners still benefit from this venture?

Kurt said once hes cracked the ecu then other models will be cake and the 6HP26 should not be a prob but if the interest is there then hes more likely to do it. So get some guys interested and Im sure I can convince him.

I installed the solenoids today but have yet to drive car. The installation was very straight forward. I purchased the solenoids-plug & pan gasket at the Mercedes dealer. It was amazing how much cheaper the plug & gasket were & I work for a Jag dealer. Here is a link I found on installing the solenoids, if it was already posted I appologize.

Yes I wasnt going to say anything cus I want it to be done before I say anything but I have tried one tune which was only mildly tweaked (I want to start off slowly and safely) but with the afr corrected for power and some timing adjusted it made a huge difference. Just to give ya some thoughts as to what I mean know how your car feels nice and cold??? But it goes away after its warm nope this new mild tune makes it feel like that all the time. Now I sent it back for some more aggressive tuning and I will see how it feels. If anyone has a 99 computer they are not using would love to use it right now we are using a 00.

Trans tuning is almost ready to try he says it will take a few times but looking good just for anyone interested
