Both front shock towers have this plug that appears to never have been plugged into anything. Is this for the XJ8 air suspension?

It looks like the shock absorber electrical connector on models with adaptive damping suspension systems.
Is there another one on near the other front shock absorber?

Your XJR must have had adaptive damping suspension at one time.

Yeah, has the plug on both sides. They have no scars though, like they have NEVER been plugged into anything.

There also should be these plugs next to the rear shock absorbers.
