Weird issue today. My remote fob stopped working. I checked my spare when I got home and it turns out the spare had a falt battery.

Replaced both batteries and neither still worked
Attempted to reprogram using the service bulletin to no avail

Eventually loaded up the SDD and reset them up uning that.
This worked fine and both FOBs are now ok

I then started getting a "Config R" message
Turns out something has gone wacky with the rear electronic module
SDD advises a reprogram. I started that an all seems well , update works till it gets the reprogram.

SDD asks if I want automatic or manual programming. I keep selecting auto
It then fails saying the vin is not the same as discovery

I ran it again selecting manual vin but get the same result

Anybody have any ideas?

Managed to Clear the error

The REM reprogram was not working.
Ended up upgrading the mongoose JLR flash memory
Also setup SDD on a dedicated laptop

After that all worked fine and its now OK
