When I look at the events recorded and check the distance or time radio button on the top right hand side of the screen, I get no mileage or time information. Is there any way to get that information or is this normal? It would be awesome to get the mileage info when the event gets recorded. Post if you have an answer to this...

I don't have an answer to your specific question because I am quite new to IDS/SDD as well, but love to know the answer as well.

However, seeing the number of "Battery Low Voltage" messages you are getting, that may be the root cause of a lot of the other DTCs you are seeing. These cars a rather sensitive to poor battery performance, so if you are having multiple issues that should be your first priority.

(You may know all of that but thought it was worth mentioning if you didn't)

EDIT - Apologies, I just saw your other thread were you mention that the battery was a year old. Do you know the last time your DTCs were cleared? Now that you've fixed the TPS issue, you might want to start a new session and clear all you DTCs. You can always go back to a prior session to look at the DTCs if you need to, but going forward you'll know what are new faults.

Those are fresh entries. I was playing with the IDS/SDD setup w/o hooking up my Midtronics power supply to keep the voltage up to snuff which you are supposed to do when you diagnosing the vehicle w/o the engine running.

Every time I hook up the ids/sdd I clear the codes (which is not very often) but quite a few entries never go away. I think some, if not most, is noise. I have been putting 1000 miles a month for the past year and I absolutely have had no powertrain issues other than the one described here. I do have suspension issues still but that is another story.

Makes sense. Sorry I missed the other thread, otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it.

I also remember motorcarman mentioning that to remove ALL logged codes, not just the current ones, you need to clear the 'data recorder' or something named close to that. I have been unsuccessful on both of my vehicles, however.

I don't have an X350 anymore but I don't recall the distance being displayed on that. A current owner should be able to confirm.

It works properly with my X150 though.

I just got my SDD working, and it doesn't display the miles either. I was wondering about the same thing.
BTW, I haven't been able to find how to clear the codes. Any help on that?
Thanks.

Hi kbeachy,

The options for scanning, clearing and re-scanning codes are found, if I recall correctly, under the RECOMMENDATIONS tab in a list of various actions you can perform. Not very intuitive. Let me know if you still can't find it. I've got to run SDD on our X350 to clear some spurious codes today and I'll try to take notes on how to get to the code scanning and clearing options.

Cheers,

Don
