It might help if you begin with the New Members Area forum and introduce yourself, and if you browse the forum before beginning with questions that you would likely easily find readily available.
And while beginning your profile, include things like your XJL configuration and location in your signature block so that you don't need to identify those specifics with each question you post.
And for the owners manual and other helpful documents, take a look at the "stickys" at the top of the forum; you'll likely find what you're asking for there.
You could also try your local Ebay for hard copies of owners manuals if that's something you'd like to keep in your glove box.

There was little change in the XJ so the one posted will be useful all the same. But yes the Jaguar manuals are large and difficult to use with many, many repetitions. That's one of the reasons you get such crazy number of pages. Like 8000+!
Is there something in particular your looking for? I have a 2013 version but it only has the Diesel in it. I use the F-Type manual for drive train stuff since I have the 5.0 V-8 SC version. Do you have the owners handbook? That is available too and does answer a lot of questions.
