10.5 Android screen

Does that unit require the 2 boards from the original unit or not?
We have had major problems with the units that DON'T swap the boards over. The XJ actually has a cooling system built into the dash to cool the Nav screen and the main instrument panel. Without that system operating (and it can't unless the 2 factory boards are swapped over) you will over heat and burn out the Android unit. It already has happened and been reported multiple times.
Does the screen feel hot to touch? This is a BIG clue!

Yes on my install it does. Again that's was why I only wanted a unit that required the two factory boards to be swapped over. Without that you loose stuff.
Also not mentioned by nearly all the vendors is at least on the X351 XJ the factory has a separate cooling fan and duct system to keep both the navigation stack and the drivers side IP cool. Several people have burned out multiple aftermarket installs because of this lack of cooling. That cooling system is run by temperature sensors in the dash which will no longer be connected with the factory boards if they are absent.
Feel the center screen to see how hot it's running.
