Default 2006-09 “upgrade” true significance?

Aside from the 4.2L engine (and face lift in 2008), from 2006’-2009’ were the new braking system and laminated glass (for supposed improved noise isolation) significant upgrades over 2002-2005 models? Any upgrades I missed? I can’t seem to find much other than obviously being younger in age, to indicate that 06-09 models offer demonstrable improvements over 02’-05’. Please correct and/or educate me. Thanks!

First thing is that you're in the wrong Forum. This is the X351 Forum, for 2010-up models. You should inquire in the X350/X358 Forums, for earlier models.
