2012 XJ l Exhaust Tip Replacement

Headups for anybody looking for quad tips. The set referenced above from UkStylings has been out of stock for a while, so I found these:

They look to be almost exactly the same and they're shipped from California. I ordered last night and they'll be delivered via Fedex tomorrow. The listing says they even come with different sized sleeves for a perfect fit, no filing or mods necessary. They accepted my offer of $200. I'll report back tomorrow evening after I've fitted them.

THEY FIT! And they're beautiful.
Very nicely made and a perfect fit with the thinnest adapter. Fitting an extra washer underneath the bolt will give you a bit of extra room and will make it easier to turn and tighten. I used the washer from the stock tips.
Side note: I got the xpipe installed and there's maybe just a 10% bump in volume. I was hoping for a just a bit more oomph.
Anyway, I am super pleased with the tips.

My guy cut the middle two resonators out and put in a standard xpipe close to the cats, followed by straight pipes to the rear boxes, which I've left stock for now. The sound has deepened just a bit and its about 10% louder than stock. You probably wouldn't know there were any mods if you just heard it on the street. That being said, I have not heard it yet on a drive-by from outside the car, so it may be louder than I think. I'm debating whether to leave it alone or replace the stock rear boxes.

Looks like maybe the seller is getting a bit greedy, although I still would've paid $225. I was quite surprised when they accepted $200, so maybe it was a mistake.

Ordered the X Pipe and the tips ($225) today. Going to do the exact same thing you did. Are you satisfied with the extra sound or do you want more? Had my car up on the lift today at shop and guy said new mufflers would probably be next if double resonator delete and X Pipe wasn't enough.

Please let us know if you decide to get less expensive aftermarket mufflers welded in.

Corsa...might be interesting. Keep us posted.

I'm puzzled - I thought there would be a noticeable difference between (1) stock and (2) X-pipe with both resonators deleted and replaced with straight pipes.
