Timatayo, I have a 2012 NA motor, but I would thing that the water pump should sit the same for both motors. To get the seals to sit right for me, what I did was I put the bolts in the water pump and then screwed the seals over the bolts just slightly. If you look at the openings in the seals, the spots where the bolts go through are not round (atleast on the ones I got they weren't) and the narrow part of the seal will grip on to the threads of the bolt.
As for the transition piece behind the water pump, it has been awhile since I did it, but I seem to recall that it will only fit one way. As for what is the up position and what goes down, you need to fit it to the back of the water pump momentarily. You will see how the little groove in the piece fits up to a groove on the back of the water pump.
ON a side note, I found it easiest on my car to remove the intake so I could see the black transition piece as I was putting on the water pump. Trying to slide it into the opening and get everything lined up never proved fruitful for me. I tried a few times. I finally did what others said and removed the intake. With you having the supercharger on there, not sure how easy that may be.

Re: water pump sleeve.
Make sure to remove old O ring from the engine.
Install new O ring all the way back.
Slide sleeve all the way on
Rotate sleeve clockwise until the protrusion on the sleeve is behind the ledge on the engine.
Fit water pump straight onto sleeve and start all 4 bolts.
Tighten bolts equally to keep pump straight.

Replaced water pump 2 weeks ago covered by warranty drove 1 day steam and smell came back with a vengeance returned to dealer they replaced hose under manifold (not covered by warranty) drove for almost a week without problem then antifreeze
smell returned so back to the dealer where they did pressure test overnight so both hot and cold engine no drop in pressure so
they say probably just run off on engine. Doesn’t sound right to me so I am looking for information from everyone on what it could be
have owned strictly Jaguars for over 20 years so I know they are quirky. Many thanks for any and all help

I would concur with the dealer as the anti freeze smell can linger up to a couple of weeks to "burn" off. What I would suggest. for, piece of mind, that you check the coolant reservoir on a daily basis for a few days to confirm the coolant level is constant. If this was your first water pump replacement, did the dealer suggest replacement of some additional hoses, as early tubing was known to become brittle and fail.
