2014 XJ Workshop Manual

2014 XJ Workshop Manual
After much searching I finally found a PDF version for $16 to download.
All 8669 pages! Looks to be the factory deal and it's fully searchable and has a good set of book marks laying out the chapters.
Got it from CARMANUALS4U UK;
https://www.tradebit.com/filesharing.../0/jaguar+x351
It looked a little shady (plus not sure why they have a different manual for every year?) but I figured I could lose the $16 just to see. Worked fine and got a download link in about 15 minutes after I paid with Paypal. After paying you are sent a file that has an email address which you send you car info (Make and model) along with what type of computer you have Windows or Mac. You get a download link to the PDF (mine was 98 MB).
Have found the later JEPC (Parts Catalog) too but it's $100. So still looking at it.

It sure looks like it to me.
That's what I was looking for. It's a massive manual and the only complaint so far is my inability to use and find stuff!
Now to find the JEPC.
I found one but they want $100 which seems very high?

Does anyone have the later say 2017 JEPC. I have an earlier version that covered my old 2005 STR and it was very useful.

I didn't see it in my quick scan, but I'm pretty sure it will be there. I downloaded the 2012 manual for mine. It says 2012 on the first page but every other page I saw said 2010. Hope there's not much difference between the two years. At $16 it's a bargain if accurate. I paid Helms $200 for the paper manuals for my 2011 GM car.

Yes it's all in the manual but as you said it's a monster so it might take some time to find what you want!
Well the oil change has been discussed a bunch as it's weird.
You know it's pulled out thru a tube on top of the engine with a vacuum pump?
The filter is not a normal spin on but they have gone back to the ancient oil filter cartridge like was used back in the 50's and 60's cars.
Finally there is getting the right oil problem. The factory oil is expensive and hard to find. Since you have a 2011 and are out of warranty you can use what you want but there has been a LOT of discussions about which oils to use.
The air filters are just opened and changed but be aware that Jaguar recommends "matched" filters. Do not use any oiled cotton filters like a K&N.
Brakes are not unusual and really should not need a manual for that but I see on page 5419 brake service is listed.

Well I need to be careful because I am talking about the 5.0L V-8. Looking back I am not sure that's the engine you have?
Anyway all 5.0L Jaguar/Land Rover engines use the same oil filter I posted above.
Jaguar #C2D3670
Land Rover #LR011279
There is still a drain plug in the pan and some people have done it that way. Some under body shields need to be removed to get at the plug.
Not sure about spin on filters but maybe they are used on engines other than the 5.0L?
