Four months ago I purchased a 2019 XJL Portofino "petrol" 3.0 V6 with 18k miles. I'm wondering if Jaguar got all the bugs out of the later year XJs? Have any owners had issues? What should I look out for? So far I had to replace the coolant tank/level sensor and the backup camera, both under warranty, but the warranty ends in January 2025. It has 21,000 miles now. Thanks
The plastic coolant pipes are still a weak spot on late XJs. Replaced them on my XJ (2018) at 68k miles when one was starting to weep. Not a cheap job since access needed under supercharger. Lots of threads on here (and the F-type section) about the coolant pipes.
Not unless/until a pipe fails and leaks (while still under warranty).
Preventative maintenance such as upgrading the coolant pipers to the metal versions (before any failures/leaks) is not covered under warranty.
