Default 88 Different faults from the computer

Well, yesterday was a sad day, my 2011 3ltr dielse XJ was towed away after coming to a complete halt and cutting out.

the screen flashesd up that the gear box had failed, then the stability had failed, the list went on.

The RAC guy plugged it in and said that it looks like the Cambus had failed as the amount of faults it was reporting means it looked electrical.

The car is with Jaguar Liverpool now.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? what was the financial damage for you?

Sounds like a bad battery or similar.

The verdict was a crank shaft sensor was damaged. Looking at £420 fitted. Not too bad but still better to have a swift kick in the *****!

I've had all the errors pop up on my 2011 XJ with only 53,000 miles on it. New battery and ignition start switch. Both a local repair shop and Jim Coleman Jaguar are recommending that I scrap it. I think the most errors ever triggered was 137.

Jaguar "CRC" seems disinterested in me.

Hi - can we try to keep to one post per topic? That’s 6 posts on 6 separate threads with the same info - it gets really confusing and hard to follow when everyone replies in different threads

Definitely not helping yourself by annoying others.
