Advice on 2013 XJ replacing door mirror cap and door handle
Hi All,
I have recently taken delivery of my first Jaguar. It is a 2013 XJ 3.0l Diesel Portfolio in Crystal Blue - a couple of pictures attached.
On delivery, I noticed a couple of things that needed correcting and the supplying dealer ended up sending me the parts (they are 200 miles away) and suggested I get them fitted by my local dealer (not ideal, I know).
Anyway, the first is the door mirror cap which had some bubbling. I think I need to remove the glass and access from the inside.
The second is the smaller end of the exterior door handle (the bit that doesn't move) on the front door - not sure what you call this piece. I see a plastic cap on the end of the door when open level with the handle and assume I access through here.
Anyway, a lot of assumptions here, but would be grateful if someone could post instructions / diagrams as I don't want to start and find I don't have the right tools (or talent )
Thanks,
Marcel

Beautiful car! I love the color! Personally, I'd have that work done professionally. It may be an easy job but one minor slip and you've scratched the paint. If there's a dealer close by, as your dealer suggests, they might be your best bet. If you don't want to take that route, check with an independent body repair shop, or just hold on to the parts and wait until you return to the selling dealer for service or warranty work at some point and have them install the parts. Good luck with whatever you decide!
