I just ordered my rear crossover pipe. Figured I might as well change it before it goes bad.

any tips for supercharger removal? Are there any gaskets replace?

I like Bigg Will's detailed threads? Good pictures and many part numbers listed.
He had an XFR but the 5.0L SC is the same across the Jaguar lineup.
This is one good thread.
Water Pump Replacement

Another detailed thread.

Took me way longer than I wanted.. but got it done 😤

Leak was worse than I thought

Used a loaner serpentine tool to pry it up... made this part a breeze. This helped out tremendously. Its soft and doesn't damage anything.

I noticed a slight pooling afterwards.. where the 2 pieces mate. I seem to have stopped. Drove 6 hrs after and she ran like butter. Coolant levels didn't drop at all.

I purchased this aluminum part. Has anyone installed one from this company?

I also noticed some of these plastic ones have only 2 mounting screws, while the aluminum has 3 holes. Can anyone give some insight on this? How do I know which one I need? Car is a 2016 XJL

When I did the 2014 RRS with the 3L, it had 3 screws on each side. Do you have the V6 or V8?

From your pics, the V6 has 3 and the V8 has 2. Makes sense since the V6 has really long runners compared to the V8.

I would highly recommend to anyone planning to do this job to remove the wipers and the cowling that covers the back of the engine. It's well worth the extra effort. Looks like meanmugga might have removed these items, or tried.

Yep, I tried to get the wiper arms off my old XFR and the damn things just would not budge.
I wasn't until years later with the XFR long gone I discovered you can get a simple tool for cheap which makes this a piece of cake: https://www.ebay.com/itm/22365759122...3ABFBMpNHQkOpi
Well worth it if/when you want to remove the wipers.

Damn you OzXFR! I had to purchase one of these! I have several wiper arm pullers but this is different.
Only $8 too!

I have been using this;

Works good but awkward to get in place depending how the wiper is located.
It's also good for battery terminals so has a few different uses.

I definitely tried 😆. That mf was stuck and frustrated me.

I'll be ordering that tool myself. I still have to do the rear xover pipe.

I posted in the F type thread, but I'll be dropping my XJ off at the shop on Monday to do both Y pipe and upper pipe from EuroAmp.
My valve cover stud on passenger bank is spinning freely, which may or may not explain my quart loss over 3500 miles. Replacing both covers just in case.

Hopefully ensures my life as I'm at 90k miles now.

Change your PCV diaphram(s) while you’re in there with new OEM.

It's good advice. Unfortunately I'm an unlucky man. I changed my PCV with supercharger on 2 weeks ago, before I noticed my stud was now loose. So, those refreshed parts will carry over to the new covers/seals/grommets.

Shop will also do the injector seal kits x8 and replace the oil cooler/seals as well. Might find some more stuff later.

I changed my supercharger oil last year as well as the rear coolant manifold. Efficiency has not been my friend.

Give us a picture or two of that rare 575 too after the repair.

Anyone know how far away we are from a metal replacement rear crossover for the V8?

I'm curious but also wary of some of these parts. The parts from EuroAmp on the Y pipe and lower coolant pipe look good enough, cast and machined with no burring or seal issues.
The rear pipe is a liiitle bit different and uses face seals which are less forgiving than o rings if any tolerances are out far enough.
