Aluminum Replacement for OEM Plastic Coolant Pipes

Yep! It’s actually in quite a few internal ISO automotive standards that you MUST use them.
I used to design coolant systems for the highest volume truck manufacturer in North America. The water pump iterations on the XJ are a sham. The coolant failure modes are despicable.
but I cannot discount that they probably meet market expectations and allowed Jaguar to compete in the class they are in for the time they were launched. Cost, cost, cost

Well, I stand corrected then, no problem. So are we saying then that spring clamps are the best we can manage? What happens when with age the spring / resistance gives out? Not trying to be clever just would like to know... Put it this way if you needed your X351 coolant system to last 250,000 miles what would you do?

Yes I had to learn about clamps to. As I had been replacing the very good factory constant tension spring clamps (This is the key-Constant Tension!) with the old Jubilee screw clamps.
Why? Because I was always told they were better! But the screw clamps actually create failure points because of the large stress concentrations directly under the screw mechanism.
Now I do struggle with the constant tension clamps compared to the screw type but after getting a cable clamp hose pliers they are somewhat easier to use.
