Ambient
Hi guys,
It's ambient system bought in aliexpress. It is controlled by LIN, each communicating wirelessly with modules. Very satisfactory quality. It is fully compatible with Jag's system. With Dynamic-i, the red color is very impressive. There is one bug. Level 1 of the 4 levels of brightness adjustment is not available. But it doesn't really care.
Regards,
KIM

I didn't think it was difficult for me. Of course, it varies from person to person. Pre-FL models need to be controlled by a mobile phone. CCF modification is required for use in ICTP. I worked on the front door one day, the rear door one day, and the air vent one day. total 4 days. my seller' is sold out. It is other seller's.

Thanks it's not really difficult to install although it's tedious & time consuming took me about a week to finish... you have to figure out the limitations of the strips in order to do a successful install.. in a post above by gloriashield is an included link which describes some of what's involved... I used his write up to install the vents... I used a different process with the doors but similar to his because we used different products.. his is made specifically the vehicle mines is a universal kit...
But I got the kit from a supplier on alibaba... they also sell them on aliexpress. Not really expensive but cost can add up depending on which look you going for... I used 2 kits & alot of extra strips because you are going to make mistakes & will need extras...
I used 2 strip kits & the vent kit plus the extra strips cost me around $600-700.. which isn't too bad for the end result looks like a 2023 s-class on the inside... im very happy with it!!
I can do a write up of what was done & provide pics of the process if yall want me too & if u have any questions I will glady answer them for anybody

I used a 22-in-1 kit & custom sized 18-in-1 kit plus the extra strips.. plus the air vent kit... if you want to do the seats like I did you will have to order some extra control modules...
There are different types of kits for different prices. The kits i used are a universal the kit gloriashield used was vehicle specific... they are wired & controlled differently, also the color changes are different... the vehicle specific kits are mainly RGB led types & change 64 colors.. the universals you can buy RGB or symphony color change which has alot of special effects & patterns.. I used the symphony kits
the universals can be controlled using a APP, button, voice activated.
The vehicle specific kits can be controlled using APP, Reaview mirror, steering wheel, button, OEM ambient light controls (newer cars)
wit the universal kits you can do alot more IMHO & installation is more flexible with being able to add more strips if needed & not needing to do complicated wiring
The vents are a completely separate kit which are really used with the vehicle specific kits & are normally bought together, which only does RGB color change..
i puchased them alone & they are not compatible with the universal kits so they must be controlled independently of the rest of the lights if being used with the universal kit & again they only do RGB color change....so you will need 2 different APPs to control both... you could possibly wire them together in order to get em to all switch together... thats what i was going to originally do.. but changed my mind because I bought some light rings to install in the lil mid range speakers on the door inside the wood trim but when I tried wiring it together wit the strips & sub modules I burnt the rings out & did want to risk doing the same thing with the vents.. which were not cheap at $250 the rings were only $75 so I could stand that blunder..

I got the ac unit off of alibaba for about $350.. fully touchscreen works great & is easy to install completelyplug & play, jus remove the old unit... it updates the vehicle a bunch inside, especially when combined wit the big screens looks 2020ish... but you will lose the use of your cd/dvd player when installed.. but it is worth the money.. im happy with it

or is the one you're using that much easier to install somehow?
I've seen them from several sellers all around same price AliExpress unit
just don't see how those would be any different installation than the other thread
