Any 2015+ builds with the popping/rattling/squeaky panoroof?
I'm two months into the purchase of my 2015 XJ 5.0 Supercharged. Loving everything about it, with the exception of the panoramic sunroof.
For a $100k vehicle I'm finding this unacceptable and embarrassing when I have clients in my car!
Every time I make a left-hand turn, or have the vehicle cross any bumpy or uneven ground that leads to body flex the thing pops/creaks/rattles like crazy. Going in and out of my driveway makes the thing sound like a 20yo Kia.
All of the threads I can find mentioned this being an issue on 2013 and earlier builds. Anyone out there with a 14/15 or newer build with the same issue?
Anyone have this fixed successfully and not have the issue return several months later?
I just dumped a 2015 Genesis 5.0 that I absolutely loved due to a panoramic roof that they could quiet down.
Help??

As I understand it this issue was put to bed some time ago. This XJ forum was full of posts about roof popping in 2010-2012, and occasionally later, but a 2015, no. A 2015 should still be under warranty, so you need to take it to a Jaguar dealer to have it fixed, because it is fixable. Did you have the car from new ? It could be somebody has been in there for something and disturbed the fixings before you bought it

There is a contact for Jaguar on this forum somewhere if you have difficulty.
FWIW, the editor of the UK Jaguar Enthusiasts CLub magazine bought a low-miles 2011 XJ and suffered the popping problem. In the end the whole roof assembly was replaced at a Jaguar dealer. He has not reported any problems since. So it can be cured, no doubt about it. If the dealer says they know nothing about the problem you should be suspicious. It IS a well known issue with these cars. Having said that, a 2015 suffering this issue is very unusual.

As I said before, this is a known issue and should be taken up with your local Jaguar dealer. A 2015 car should still be well within its warranty period.
