I got a recall notice, this past week, for our 2016 XJ-L. The dealer said it's something pretty big, and takes over 2 hours, to download to the car.....if it "goes as planned", on the first attempt. They didn't tell me exactly what's involved, but told me to anticipate leaving the car for a day, maybe two. Anybody familiar with this??

Possible front airbag non-deployment. See:https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2016/J...DR/RWD#recalls
For information about all recalls and other safety information, go to http://www.safercar.gov
P.S. The airbag recall applies to all 2016 XJ models, with separate NHTSA notices for each model.

I just recently bought a 2016 XJL as well. before I brought it home I asked that the informant system be updated because I figured it being a 2016 they probably updated it. It did take about 4 hrs for them to do the update. I can't imagine a recall to do this? but you mentioned download so I suppose that is what it is?
