I’ve had my XJ Portfolio for almost 7 years and today I’ve used ASL for the first time. What a good idea when travelling through restricted roadworks.
Does anyone else use it?

I use it all the time for roadworks, and quite often around town so I know I won't exceed the speed limit. It's too easy to creep above when following other traffic. It shows you just how often people speed in restricted zones (a lot).

I prefer adaptive cruise because my car will alter its speed if the car in front slows and I also don't have to worry about speeding.

Although most of my driving is town driving, if my car is moving at or near the speed limit, it is generally running on ACC.

I have never used the ASL. I always wondered what was the point. It almost could be like a valet mode if you could lock it into the max speed.
