Buy 2011 Jaguar XJL or not
Guys, i would like to ask your opinion on whether or not to purchase a used low milage 2011 Jaguar XJL/XJ model. My concern is its quality in terms of issues.
I have had a chance to drive it and I have always loved the look. My concern is that she wont be a money pit plagued with non stop mechanical issues. I plan on keeping it for about 2 years and put on no more than 20K miles.

2011 xjl or not
Make sure the panoramic roof has been fixed and it doesn't rattle or creak. They have had a lot of problems with the roof system. There is a fix. It has worked for some but not all cars. Mine being one of them. Also make sure the rattle in the passenger side dash has been addressed. There is a fix for this that works. The 2011 xj had many other mechanical and infotainment issues.
I have a 2012 xjl that has been flawless mechanically except the roof noises.
2011 jaguars come with a 5 year 50,000 mile warranty.
Get the car service history and see what problems it has had. And test drive it over rough broken pavement to test the sunroof issues.
If the car rattles at ALL from the panoramic roof. Don't buy under any circumstances.
