JaguarXJL15, as for the CD changer, I cannot say for sure. This is where your owners manual should provide some clarity to this.
As for the USB and not playing music, this can be a few things. First off, what format are you trying to use? Next, does this format use a variable bit rate?
I have found that the USB player is a little bit picky and you need to use MP3 format with a constant bit rate setting. You can have different bit rates amongst different songs, but any given song needs to be only 1 bit rate. I have converted all my MP3's to 192K. I know can put about 2,000 songs on a 16 GB USB stick. Now, of interest, if you are like me, I prefer to listen to my music album by album. This is not possible (atleast I have not figured out how to do it). You can tell the radio to play 1 album, but when that album is complete, it will start playing it over. If you tell it to play an artist, it will play all the songs of the artist across all the albums (normally in alphabetical order unless you select random order).
One last thing, the bigger the USB stick, the longer it is going to take to sort out all the music. I find that a 16 GB stick is about as big as I am willing to tolerate. This normally takes about 10 seconds of the car running and the radio on before it will start playing music. I tried a 32 GB stick, but that was starting to get up to like a minute before it would start playing.

... mine doesn't have a CD changer, but that doesn't mean anything about yours.

You might look in your owners manual as posted above?
My 2014 has a single CD slot BUT you can rip about 10 or so CD's to the car's internal memory and then play them as a "Stored CD". I have never done that as I use USB or radio.
Your 2015 might be the same or not?
So you will need to play around some as I have not tried any of this.
Here is the screen with the upload button. Button #6.
Post back and let us know how to do it?
Will be helpful to the next guy too.
