I don't know about the Jags (yet), but this is consistent with my 6 series. I went to the dealer to have them specifically turn off DRL's and when I put my lights on in position 2, only my angel eyes were on (versus the low voltage headlight bulb on at the same time).

I would assume it is similar, but in either case, if I do end up getting one I will figure this one out within the first couple weeks, but there SHOULD be an ability from the dealer to program it this way. Otherwise, I would be very surprised - it would not make a whole lot of sense from a software programming and electrical sense.

If you put the parking lights on, the LED's do come on without the headlights but the taillights are on too. I just want the LED's to come on by themselves and there is no way to do this.

I saw the XJ 75 concept in person and was surprised that I really liked the white and black contrast. Hate the wheels though. The blackedout rear window made the black c-pilar fit in better. I wish they would make this a production option.

Do you have any pictures of your caviar car as well as interior. I have read that caviar under gray skies looks more brownish and I have seen pics to that effect. What is your experience? Thanks

I have Stratus Grey with a London Tan interior and get compliments ALL the time at a standstill and on the road. The C-pillar is easy to make less noticeable (and more like what I feel was intended) by putting a very dark tint on the back windows.

Regardless of which color you get, I think the car looks stunning.

Wanted to throw in my two cent. I am surprised no one has put in a thumbs up for Lunar gray. To me silver/gray colors are the most dirt resistant. In a city like Houston where there is a lot of rain AND pollen, it is something to take into account. I have owned my fair share of black cars and love it those 2-3 days after I have it washed but the rest of the time they look dirty.

The lunar gray is a little darker than the silver and gives it a more designer feel. Despite what Jaguar andmost automaker thinks, I think it goes fine with tan interior.

The C-pillar have grown on me. It gives it a distintive signature to the car, sort of like the Audi R8 side piece thingy.

The only color I am not crazy about in this car is the cold artic white color. Most colors looks great in this beautiful car.

I'm thinking of silver or British racing green. I like the silver since, to me, it seems to show off the lines of the car really well. The brochure I have seems to almost exclusively use silver - there must be a reason for that.

Slight drawback is that all the silvers I find have black or navy interiors and I was hoping to get away from that for a change. I don't see the black interior as a deal breaker though.

Anyone own a British racing green XJ? How do you like it? It seems very dark from what I can see from pictures online. There are none locally (in Dallas) for me to look at.

Does anyone like the color Claret Metallic? I personally think the XJ looks great in it!

Yes.

I picked up a claret XJL last week. The interior is truffle/cashew.

Mine is claret and caramel/truffle, really gets so many favouable comments, really pleased with it, and it matches my earlier radiant red X350 nicely .
