I don't care who they sell it to. As long as it isn't a Chinese company. No idea who would want to buy it-possibly BMW?

Yep-Bollore is trying to price Jag's loyal customers out of their cars. If that was affordable for me, I'd have already gone the next step and bought a Project 8.

I just watched my dvr of the FormulaE season finale race in Berlin..
Avoiding spoilers, if Jaguar is indeed all electric in 4 years then is this 7th FormulaE season a harbinger for them?

I find it almost unthinkable that by the next Presidential Inauguration, our local Jag dealers will be only selling new Jaguar vehicles starting near $140k..

"Jaguar will not replace its internal combustion engine models when they come to the end of their life cycle and instead focus on upmarket electric models costing the equivalent of 100,000 pounds ($140,000).

Also, Bollore also WROTE OFF 1 billion pounds of investment into the planned Modular Longitudinal Architecture electrified platform that had been designed to underpin the bulk of future Land Rover and Jaguar models.."

Will Jag's awesome CPO Program also become a thing of the past too?

If so, what brand will we switch too?
I'll freely admit that $140k is way out of my budget.
SMH..

I'm definitely never going to be in the market for a $140K car. Bollore's a joke and has killed my enthusiasm for the brand's future, which is really a shame. I plan on buying a used XJ at some point, but when I've thought about other options- I was intrigued by Peugeot's now canceled return to the US market, Cadillac's are interesting, an Alfa Romeo or Maserati would be sweet, but the build quality pf both is famously suspect, and the cars Hyundai's putting out under the Genesis brand are probably the first Asian cars I've actually considered. At this point, I'm hoping Tata sells the brand to BMW or someone else before the end of the decade and/or fires Bollore, and somehow gets back to making cars people want and can afford.

At this point, considering the limited mileage that my wife and I put on our Jags, and factoring in our ages, we won't be in the market for a new one, for quite some time. But the idea of one costing $140,000, IMMEDIATELY puts it out of our reach. Secondly, if I had a car costing that much, while I'd probably love to drive it, I'd be afraid to park it anywhere, if you know what I mean.

Also, this brings up a point of concern, for me, with respect to long term ownership of and ICE Jaguar. As they are being "phased out", what will happen to the supply of maintenance and repair parts? Will our beloved Jags become nothing more than non-drivable "garage art", when critical components wear out, and replacements are no longer available? I'm currently facing this kind of potential with my 2001 Corvette, as it's a car LOADED with electrical components that one by one, are being discontinued.....but the car, overall, is in excellent condition, with just under 30,000 miles on it.
