Default Engine code - P007B-00

Good morning all,

Yesterday evening, I took the car out the garage washed it. I turned the car on to put in the garage and the RPMS spiked to 2-3000 RPM and the check engine light came on I put the car and drive and the vehicle's rpm went down to what it normally idles at.

I have a scanner so I scanned the codes and the following popped up.

P007B-00 - Charge air cooler temperature sensor
P2187-00 - System too lean at idle bank 1
P2189-00 - System too lean at idle bank 2

Has anyone run into this issue before? I am thinking to give the sensor a good cleaning and hopefully it doesnt happen again.

Thanks for the help

RacingGreen87, the first question that I would ask is whether you tried to clean up the engine bay and started spraying under the hood. If so, I would give the car 24 hours to dry out and see if the problem continues. Modern day cars really do not like getting cleaned under the hood/bonnet.

In the case anyone else runs in this issue. The air cooler sensor I ended up cleaning with the electrical cleaner which fix that code. As for the other two codes it ended up being the PCV valve is was very hard to wiggle it into place because of the supercharger but it is doable. The rubber bladder inside had teared. which needed replacement. The bladder is made of a thin rubber which will eventually go. I am definately keep 1 on had in the event i should need it. I spent 60$ at the Jaguar dealer but you can find a two pack with a spring on ebay for maybe $13-15.

I also have the p007b code. Can you tell me where you located the charge air cooler sensor? Most other forums and the parts options refer to it as the MAP sensor. Is this the same thing?

I see that RKX has released what they claim to be improved PCV diaphragms?
PCV Diaphragm Set
I got a pair for the future. Said to be made of a better material so they last longer?

Anybody use them yet?
