My 2019 has Carplay on its 10" screen, and it works great, but plugging the phone every time is annoying. There's a ton of wireless adapters, but I had read that they are often flakey and lack all the features, such as using multiple apps like Spotify and Google maps at the same time, using the control buttons on the steering wheel, or taking forever to start up. But I went ahead and took the plunge by buying this one on Amazon for $99:



It just works perfectly with the Jag's system. There's no difference between the functionality of wired and wireless. It connects very quickly and plays Spotify right where it left off automatically. The USB port in the center console powers up the device as soon as you open up the door and before you even start the car, which speeds up the startup, and the car turns off the USB port fairly quickly after turning off the car so there's no battery drain. A real winner.

But with the Wireless CarPlay, I have it set to open CarPlay automatically.

 

So it looks like the 2019 when back to a very basic looking GUI...

 

I am a big fan of CarPlay. That's all I need for navigation and entertainment, so I don't spend anytime in the native infotainment interface. Not having CarPlay was a major issue for me, so I am glad my 2019 has it from the factory and I didn't have to try to rig something up, especially since I am in the original warranty for almost 2 more years.
