Extended Warranty?

Hi Chuck..
Just bought a CPO '17 XF with 34k for $24,998.
60 month ends @60k or 10/22.
CPO ends @100k or 10/2023.
I researched the various Extended Warranty firms including Endurance but found loads of exclusionary Tales of Woe from customers.
Claims denied owing to "pre-existing conditions". Ha! Right.
As Clubairth1 suggests, Jaguar's CPO is nearly unmatched by any manufacturer currently.
And unlike Porsche, you need not buy the car from Jaguar dealer.
Prior to its 4th year, any Jaguar can be "CPO'd" for a few and successfully passing their 165-step review; I believe.
True anyone?

Only Jaguar can provide a true extended warranty because they're the manufacturer. That's the advantage of buying a used Certified Pre-Owned XJ through a Jaguar dealer. Note that once a used Jaguar has been sold as a CPO vehicle, it retains that status for subsequent owners even though they didn't buy it from a Jaguar dealer provided it wasn't wrecked and has documentation to prove that all required service was timely done.
What about a used Jaguar that isn't eligible for CPO status? A salesperson will try to sell you an "extended warranty", but Buyer Beware - it's really not a warranty. It's an Extended Service Contract because it's from a company unrelated to Jaguar. If it's not backed by the factory it can't be a warranty. It's like an insurance contract, complete with a slick sales brochure to get you to buy it without first reading the contract itself. Don't get fooled. Know what you're buying. Search the internet for customer reviews and read the horror stories.
