Finally own a new XJ
Last November I made a deal on a new 2015 XJL Supercharged but a week before my house was supposed to close (the source of my funds) the buyer walked away and I lost the car. I had already sold my XJ8 so it was back to the old Civic. So I put the entire idea away for a while and half heartedly kept looking for a killer deal on another car. I also came to the conclusion that a 470 HP car at my age was just stupid, at least for me. Last month I found the deal. A new, loaded 2016 XJ R Sport in Italian Racing Red that had been on the lot for 18 months and the dealer was ready to say goodbye to it. I hopped a flight to Kansas and drove it back to North Carolina and I'm still smiling.

Great looking XJ. My only question is do you know the in service date of the car? Often a dealer for one reason or another will register the car sold with Jaguar to show good sales numbers and this will shorten you new car warranty. So I would check so you can be sure of how long your OEM warranty will last to.

I don't understand why the red doesn't sell. It seems everyone wants white and black. It's okay by me though and you're right, 30k off of the window sticker with every option except for the illumination package and the 20" wheels.

It's Jet or black. I'm very fortunate in that it's the exact car that I would have ordered if I had gone that route. The park control is wonderful because I'm in a townhouse with a supposed two car garage that must have been designed for 2 subcompacts. I can confidently squeeze it in beside the wife's S2000 with about 6 inches between them. I'm also very happy with the 19" wheels, I wasn't really wild about the ride quality with the 20's.
