Default First time Jag...

This is my first Jaguar, and let me tell you ,after BMW, & Mercedes, and my last last car was a throwback to my youth, a Hemi Chrysler 300c,which was a BLAST,if you have the opportunity to play with do it. I absolutely love the Jaguar it was one of those `where have you been all my life moments ' The race intake ( not street leagle) was unbelievable they said 21hp,the dyno said 14,but a few minor things added up, where do I start? On the 300, The K&N cone filters were l loud on acceleration but not bad while driving, but really worked ( to my surprise ) any suggestions? The cold air intake. was the cheapest horsepower I ever bought. Sorry if this has already been posted but I couldn't find it.

welcome! congrats on the car. do share the details! what model? year? engine?

i dont think an intake will really help our cars for cheap horsepower. I think the best would be to do a tune (if you have a supercharged engine), which will cost $750-1000....and then a pulley......i think that combination would be your cheapest option...and there's big numbers attached to it

I like the 300C but it is nothing compared to my XJR.
Drive one and you will see!

it's a 2011 Portfolio with the 5 liter non supercharged engine, can we squeeze out a few more ponies? Only got 39000 on it, I've had it eight years, but I've had a few repairs myself, so it kept the mileage low. As for the next post where he's telling me to try whatever model he has, I am sure all he would see of my 300 was the taillights, unless we had to turn, then he would have the advantage, I have raced a few of the high zoot jags, and there not made for drag racing. And don't get bent over that statement, I also smoked a few M3s. Also in a straight line....and the jag is firemist blue. So how do we get some more ponies?

What does your 300 run in the quarter mile?
They can be very fast with the right mods!
