Default Floppy visor

Does anyone have an idea how to fix a floppy visor? The driver side of my 2013 XJL the visor just keeps flopping down and it won't stay up. it has developed a bulge where the mounting rod goes through it.

I have never been able to fix these on any car. You will need to replace it. The good thing is it's not real common on the XJ so I would take a chance on a used one from EBay.

It's up in the headliner. There is enough slack to get to the plug but it's tight. Have to work it and pull the wires out a bit. When reinstalling make sure the plug is up in the headliner or you might not get the visor to bolt back up. It's fiddly as they say!

You might try to search on EBay for visors to give you an idea of what the plug looks like. I just checked and there are dozens to choose from.
Have you looked yet?
