Question Getting throatier sound (I.e. Exhaust tips)

I have a 2012 xj. I love the throaty growl sound when I start the engine but would like it to have that throaty sound when accelerating too :-).
Any ideas (without having to chance the whole exhaust system).
Thanks for reading. Mi appreciate any input.

Is your XJ normally aspirated or supercharged? I can't speak for the NA engine, since mine is SC, but I can tell you that if yours is SC your exhaust will have a throaty roar when you stomp on the exhilarator pedal (pun intended). You just don't hear it inside the cabin with the windows up because the exhaust sound is behind you and is masked by the road noise at speed. And if you put the windows down, the exhaust sound will be masked even more by the wind noise. Ask a friend to drive behind you and have his passenger record the exhaust sound on his cellphone as you as you accelerate hard.

Keep in mind that the XJ is the British gentleman's sporting saloon (sedan) and, as such, it would not be in keeping with the car's personality to always make a raucous noise like an American hooligan muscle car with glass packs. So, around town under light throttle the Jaguar XJ purrs like a pussycat --- unless provoked, and then the exhaust will be much louder.
Some forum members have replaced their stock exhausts with aftermarket systems, with varying results. Try searching this forum for video clips of their new exhaust sounds.
