Default Had tire changed- now suspension fault & adaptive dynamics fault.

I had a pretty bread blowout to where the wheel was on the pavement. When discount tire went to replace the tire, they had to do it in the parking lot where the tow truck left the car, because moving it would damage the wheel. So, they jacked it up with a floor, jack in the front and now I am having these issues. Is there a way to reset something, or erase the codes, so I can see if they come back?

Thanks in advance for any knowledge you can share on this.

Dan

Learning this the hard way, I had the same thing happen to me when I went to do some work on the fuel pumps. I twisted the car up too much when attempting to lift the front end. This causes the suspension to get a fault that would not go away. The only way that I got it to reset was to connect the SDD software and tell it to do a normal height calibration (started it, but then cancelled it once it asked for data) and then it allowed me to do a fine calibration. I told it to level out the car and when it asked for data, I didn't put in any and simply cancelled out. ONce cancelling out, the car returned to normal and has been fine for the last 3 years. I would look at the tire place. They know better. Tell them to fix it. They are the ones that caused it. Worst case, tell them to give you $300 so you can take the car to Jaguar and have them fix it and worst case, that gets you most of the way to your own SDD system. You can fix the car yourself and get a diagnostic tool for little money.

Thanks so much for shedding some light on this for me. It was a few days ago, so it may be too late to ask them for that, but I’m definitely going to try.

Which SDD device do you have?

SDD is software and it uses one of a number of devices to interface with the car.
Big subject so I would start studying!

Dan's Cat, it was the latest version before it switched over to the new software (Explorer? Something like that). I found a guy online that would install the software into your computer for $100 and he did it all over the internet. I just left my computer logged in and he had a special code to access the computer. The computer he accessed is something I Have reserved just for the Jag, so, there was nothing more on the computer than just the basic WIndows software.

Just to chime in, I have an Autel 906BT, and it's capable of doing all SDD capable suspension tasks. I level my suspension every couple years because it looks like the calibration drifts over time. I dont think i have a small leak, i do a pretty careful inspection with soap bubbles every year.

If you want a special equipment to do multiple things, look into it, or other competitive devices.

Thanks, Thermo! You wouldn’t still happen to know where I can find this guy? Lol

Dan's cat, I went back and looked. The seller on e-bay goes by "rikistore1". I do not see him selling anything at the moment, but I may not be looking in the right place though either.. Hopefully that gives you a lead.
