2012 xjl supercharged…I have a hose that’s crack dry rotted/ I hope the hose can be just be replaced without having to replace the whole part/ but I’ve looked everywhere and can’t even identify the part or hose to replace it…can anyone point me in the right direction? I included photo..
Thanks in advance!
Just a simple vacuum-style hose for the supercharger valve. Newer cars have an electronic valve, so those hoses aren't there. You can probably match it up at the parts store.
But if that one is dry rotted, the other hoses are probably not far behind, so it would be good to be proactive and start changing them.
Jaguar does not sell that hose alone, if I'm not mistaken. it comes only in the supercharger R&R kit, which costs like $800 retail counter price. You could try to call and ask a dealer parts person.
Find a racing parts store near you, measure the OD and ID of the hose, and buy a high temp silicone replacement. I got one cut to length for $11.
I have the same vacuum actuated supercharger bypass in my 2012.
