Family,
Liquid recently spilled on my dash (2012 XJL SuperSport), causing the radio, NAV, and AC to stop working. I replaced the radio AC Climate Control Panel, and now the AC works fine.
Then I replaced the screen and the CD Player Navigation Radio Receiver Control Module. However, that did not restore the radio nor NAV functionality.
The screen shows both functions "greyed out" or turned off. I checked all fuses, all locations. Help please.
V/R,
Rodney

This usually happens if the HDD dies or have issue. Its located inside of DVD-Player Navigation Radio Receiver module. Maybe the new unit installed have been have rough shipping etc? (The HDD is "automotive grade" with better guts than standart laptop models, but its still a HDD). You can carefully dismantle your old module and take the HDD out and swap it to your new module. When doing this you will have your nav history, saved music etc.

Is their a local Jaguar club in Atlanta? I would think so. If so, join the club and find out from them which 3rd party shops service older Jags.

Just another decision that confirms TATA doesn't understand the Jaguar market at all. They have lumped it into the "automotive disposable appliance" strategy they seem to favor.

Not sure how the radios in the 2012 are but when I had some parts in my 2017 replaced, the only way to get the radio working as it should was to have it reprogrammed. Am assuming it has something to do with all the modules having a shared key for everything to operate in unison.
(been rotating units from car to car after user messed up the map upgrade -> i have currently one fixed unit on shelf in case somebody bricks his/her one with map upgrade)
However: SDD have an position to do so, but it might be that it is needed for newer or different trim level? Worth to try.

By my experience the 2010-2013 IAM2.1 control unit don´t need to be reprogrammed to the vehicle.

Thanks. Is the multimedia computer different from the DVD/NAV module below the touchscreen? If so, where is it located?
