Logo Light Installation’s XJ
Good Afternoon
Logo Lights
I purchased logo lights, and the description indicated they were compatible with my 2017 XJ Jaguar and easy to install. The video indicated all I had to do was pop out the small door light and attached the logo light. However, the two plugs on the purchased logo lights cannot go into the existing door light after removing the old one, because its two two skinny wires are hanging down from the light/door panel. In other words, I have two plugs/wires on the logo lights and two stationary plugs/wires that are hanging once I detached the old light.

Photos of the light assembly and wiring in the door would have been helpful.
You should be able to use T-Tap Quick Wire Connectors to attach the Logo Light wires to the existing wires in the door. Make sure to use the proper gauge connectors and attach red to red and black to black. I believe, but am not certain, that those wires are 18 gauge. T-Tap connectors snap on without soldering.
Your local national chain auto parts store should have them, or search Amazon or Ebay.
Or you can do it the old-fashioned way by stripping off some insulation and soldering the wires together.
Good luck!

Trysha3,
You shouldn't have started the following new thread to ask the same question.

Doing so only complicates things and confuses others who search this Forum for answers to their questions. You should have continued your inquiry in this thread.
Hopefully, a Moderator will combine both threads into one.
