Default Loose / sunken front parking sensor

Hi all,

As above, one sensor next to the front numberplate has become loose in the bumper and sunken back a few mm... One side of the sensor seems more loose than the other

It was never like this so maybe a stone has hit it

Anyone got any ideas on the best way to access the back of the sensor to see how it is clipped in and if something has broken?

I can't see any easy way of removing the upper or lower grill

Next step is to maybe remove the undertray and have a look to see if it can be accessed from there

Hope someone can help

Thanks!

Were you able to figure out how to do this? I have the same issue and I had a stone hit the bumper right beside the sensor which popped it right out and its hanging inside the front bumper.

I tried using a variety of tools to see if can push it back from inside but there seems to be some sort of cavity within which the sensor is housed and in order to access it, I have to be able to get my hand directly behind it. Any way I can do this without having to take the bumper off?

It seems like if I can get the front bottom grille out, I can easily access the sensor. Anyone know how to do this? I tried searching the forum but this is the only relevant topic I could find.

Sorry saw this and forgot to reply

It was to the right of the numberplate when looking at the front of the car. Ended up removing some of the undertray and wheel arch liner and was just about able to put an arm up into the gap, was VERY tight to reach it, then applied some CT1 sealant around the sensor from the front (second person did this) then pushed it in place from behind
