Default Mina Gallery Exhaust vs. RSC tuning

Hi all ,

I have 2011 XJL 5.0 NA trying to decide which exhaust system I should get.

Does any of you have any experience with these two ?

RSC cost twice as much (2295$) then Mina Gallery (975$) system. I always was " you get what you pay kinda guy " I wonder if this is the case here ?

Thank you all in advance for your HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess the question is: "what are you trying to get?" Why would you replace the factory exhaust system? Looks, sound or what?

Default Sound

My main goal is to increase the sound at higher RPM's, but keep it ( closer to factory sound ) at low RPM's.

I have the Mina exhaust and based on what your goal is I think its the way to go. I has an awesome low grumble but not louder than the normal exhaust but picks up when you put your foot on it.

Since you live in Germany, why did you go with the Mina exhaust instead of the Arden exhaust?

I didn't go with Arden because I read on this forum that someone had it and thought it was too loud and removed it. I didn't want anything that took away from the Jag being a Jag or added too much sound inside the cabin. I will tell you it's a perfect solution. Also I was concerned about passing inspection because they do sound checks here.

Understandable. I put the Arden on the wife's XJ and she loves it. On the highway it is quiet, when you have your foot into it, you hear it. Also when you start the car, you do get looks. It usually creates a stir at the dealership because XJ's usually don't get aftermarket exhaust, just the XF's with the younger crowd.

I purchased the exhaust from a member on this site. He didn't care for the sound so I purchased it from him. I think he purchased it directly from Arden.

I was the one who purchased the Arden exhaust that I didn't like and sold it at a great loss to Polyesterpig. You can only buy it direct from Arden in Germany, but the shipping is very reasonable. From most Mina seems to be the best alternative at more than 50% less.

I did a little research when I was buying the exhaust. My conclusion was the sound was quietest in the Mina, the Arden was a little louder, and the loudest and raspiest was the RCS exhaust. I went in the middle and am very happy.

I have the Mina gallery exhaust with a custom Xpipe and it sounds awesome. Not too loud not too quiet. Off the pedal backfire sounds great too!

Default RSC exhaust

Sound from the RSC is perfect. Not too loud to where it doesn't match the cars look. You'll be more than pleased with the sound!

I have the Mina exhaust and love it...Nice grumble when I put my foot down and found myself putting it down often just for the endorphins Also gives the rear-end a beefier look.
