Default Modded XJL

Here is some pics of my modded XJL, and if you all have seen my past threads with my modded XF, you will know that all comments are welcome, good or bad. Sorry but my iPad seems to only allow me to upload 1 image at a time. Enjoy the pics, TC...

+1

One of my favourites too. Jaguar used this or a very similar shade it for a number of their European adverts and it looks really good on the current generation bodies.

Not sure I could live with the wheels! Didn't like to 20" on my last XK8 and am pleased to go back to 19" on my current XK. Our roads are atrocious and very unforgiving on large rims/skinny tyres.

Default Well done

NICE! I like the rims too however they wouldn't last long on the streets of Chicago. These streets here are rim eaters.

Nice! I'm curious how you achieved that stance - are you on airbags all around?

Default Great Images, let's get a thread stated

As a former multiple XF owner I really enjoyed the photos of all the XF'ers posted at the top of that forum. Many are stock vehicles in great locations and there is an opportunity to show you modifications such as wheel and tire combinations. It's great share what everyone is doing with their cars on the forum. It would be nice if the Moderator would create a "Sticky" at the top of the forum to allow members to post their images simmular to the XF forum.

Since it's been never ending winter here's the best i have so far

WOW! What an eye catcher!

My immediate reaction is how many minutes of driving time you get between repairing or exchanging rims? There is no rubber sidewall left to flex...!

How did you achieve the lowering, particularly in the back? Did you get rid of the air suspension? I'd love to replace my springs on my car for ones that provide a better ride.

I like it........ the car that is, the wheels not as much. I though also want to know how you lowered it and if not being to forward about what it cost to do so. I remember a post here and someone tossing out a 8-10k number. Also, is the car wrapped or plasti dipped ?

Sorry, have not been on for a while. The car is wrapped in a matte riviera blue color and most of the chrome is re done in gloss black. Front springs are custom fabricated by my shop here in CA and the rear sensors have been relocated so that the auto rear suspension can achieve the lowered stance. No error codes have shown up. Ride quality has suffered a small bit but is still pretty soft. There is still some rubbing around the front fenders because of my aggressive wheel set up so I may be removing the current springs and will be looking into a custom airbag system. Thanks for all the comments and replies. TC
