Default module for right hand blind spot monitor

I was told that the module needed to be replaced. The amber dot in my right mirror will not go off & it is not detecting anything. Is this an easy fix?

I guess the term easy is relative to the person.... There is a driver and passenger side Blind Spot Warning Sensor Computer Control Module both of which are mounted to the inside of the rear bumper. This can not be accessed from the bottom of the bumper and will require removal. This is not a very difficult tasks in my opinion being that it took me about 3 hours to remove the bumper, fix my license plate light, and then reinstall. to remove the rear bumper you must remove the large plastic shield under the car, tail lights, trim piece where the trunk closes, and a few screws in the wheel well. Once all the hardware is removed you move to the rear tire area and shove your hand behind the rear bumper and start pulling it out of its clips but you must use a lot of caution here since you can break the plastic bumper. Again this can be done in your garage but I depends on how much work your willing to put into doing this yourself.

Here is a link to what the sensor looks like

Here is a picture of the rear bumper

the
mounting location is near the rear tires and near the top side of the bumper.
