Went for jag training this week, there is a new "fix" for the roof noise coming out soon. Not the crap you've read about before my post today. There is a TSB, or Service Action coming soon. The fix will involve parts, and various other items that will be installed to get rid of the noise coming and it coming out in a month or so. Not sure of the exact date, but soon.

The review was entertaining, to be sure, but I just don't see the comparison. Why do these reviewers compare the CLS to the Jag, much less the A7?
Isn't the CLS based on an E class platform? Other than styling, I don't see comparing a 4 passenger car to a five passenger car. If that is the thing to do, why not compare the turbo MB with the supercharged version of the Jag? Might that allow Jag to win and deny our precious German friends a narrow victory?
How about for the next comparison, they pit an XJ against a Harley-Davidson or a Corvette? They can make quite a few witty comments then, too.
I guess they wouldn't generate enough page views if they compared the XF with the CLS or A7, maybe next model year with the revamped XF. God forbid they should compare the XJ with its true competitors, the A8 or the S550 or the BMW 7 series or the Lexus LS. Those were the cars I was looking at when I was shopping for a full size sedan.
And by the way, after months and months and thousands and thousands of miles, still no noises in my gorgeous XJL SC. But that doesn't make for a cheeky review soundbite.

Totally bogus comparison.
It also always gets me when they throw a big sedan around and then complain that it doesn't handle like a sports car! This isn't a sports car--it's a high performance luxury sedan meant for transporting 5 adults in comfort, not 2 adults plus 2 children or very uncomfortable adults. I have no intention of taking mine to the track.
At least they agreed it was the best design, inside and out. No one can argue about that.

Thanks for posting this review. It was entertaining. But surely as you already stated nonsense. I own a CLS and I stated before, after 2 CLS over 5 years, the Jaguar is what I take home. I am actually going to sell the CLS as I simply rarely ever drive it.
My point is...comparing an XJ with a CLS makes no sense, yet it is done so often. And here I am going from a CLS to a XJ. What is it? There must be something connecting those two so different cars. The certainly ground breaking styling approaches? Don't know.
FYI, besides the roof issues I am not noticing any other rattling noises. Hope it stays that way.

I owned two CLS's too. The last one being the AMG version. Jaguar got the coupe look down pat. There is not a bad angle on this car. Whereas the CLS looked hunch backed from the sides. And I think they tried to fix that on the new model but instead the car looks like a C class from the front and isn't the same head turner that the original model was. It's an E class with different headlamps........
