This happens more and more. Note that the seller is in high change is a victim as well. (Well, in this case when no original markings on boxes, the warehouse employer should check and notice when parts have arrived on their stock. So sloppy material sourcing by them)

Every big manufacturer have process against for counterfeith now days.

There are tons of grey market parts. This actually happened to me recently, my valve covers came from a JAGUAR dealership to my independent shop. They had Magneti Marelli stamped on them, but FOMOCO made these for JLR. (unless a new parts supplier stepped in as MM is a legit mfg). They started leaking almost immediately and another shop had to tell me they had these markings on them. The original shop re-did the job at their warrantied expense and got new parts from Jaguar but grey market is a big deal.

In my past experience in factory automation, we had pallets of goods come into port in FACTORY SEALS only to discover after shipping to distributors/customers that they were either empty/stuffed or filled with junk equipment or equipment of similar likeness to get it to pass the weight/dims checks.

Wow, that's scary. Imagine an indy shop doing a 12 hour job with parts in an OES bag only to have a comeback a few months later and they have to eat that cost.

If something seems too good to be true, ask yourself "why?".

Well your right it was my fault! I know that 8 injectors for $300 is a deal but I stupidly went for it anyway!
As you said it was too good to be true.

I think Bosch can check these for you. Since they offer lifetime replacement on their injectors, I'm pretty sure they are serialized and as such can be cross checked with Bosch for their authenticity. It is a chore tho, so easier to get from authorized source to reduce the risk of fake parts.
